Musical Talent-Quality Instrument Clearinghouse

The purpose of this program is to help aspiring musicians develop to their full potential by getting them past the critical point every musician reaches.  The ear has developed to the point of discernment that allows self-criticism, and no amount of practice produces the right sound.  The unfortunate result is that most come to the conclusion that they are no good, and stop playing.  In reality, they have simply outgrown the limitations of their instruments.

On the other hand, professional musicians who can no longer play because of disabilities, and families of deceased musicians have excellent instruments lying in disuse because noone plays, but it seems crass to sell a beloved instrument.  This clearinghouse is meant to bring these two groups together.  If you would like to participate in this program, please click the appropriate statement below.

I need an instrument .

I am a teacher , and one of my students needs an instrument.

I am ready to give my instrument back its voice and save someone's gift of music.

Right Now We Have

Three instruments in stock, all gifts of Msgr. Charles Coen.  These are all instruments suitable for beginners.  We have Msgr. Charlie's first flute, one of his early concertinas, and an accordion.  These instruments will be awarded at the Banjo Burke Festival.

We Have Donated
A Bodhran to Dinah Samuelson, a very talented beginner who had no instrument.
